The Cat's Meow Salon and Spa is currently seeking out the very best candidates for the following positions:
LICENSED HAIRSTYLIST
CERTIFIED ESTHETICIAN

LICENSED HAIRSTYLISTS:
Depending on your current skill set, we will determine the appropriate training program for you. You will be trained the Aveda Way with The Cat's Meow twist. Job requirements include: world class customer service; client consultation; modern hairstyling; cutting and coloring; hair treatments; prescriptive instruction on home-care products and tools. A commitment and investment to on-going education is a must.
CERTIFIED ESTHETICIANS: Depending on your current skill set, we will determine the appropriate training program for you. You will be trained the Aveda Way with The Cat's Meow twist. Job requirements include: world class customer service; client consultation; manicures and pedicures; facials; waxing; body treatments and massage; make-up; workshops; prescriptive instruction on home-care products and tools. A commitment and investment to on-going education is a must.

MUST HAVES:
1. High school diploma, hairstyling diploma and license, esthetics certification
2. Ability to communicate (speak and listen) and willingness to learn

6. Willingness to work eventing and weekends and volunteer for charity events

NO SERVICE COMMISSION!
The Cat's Meow Salon and Spa is pleased to offer all employees a performance-based pay structure. All departments have a skill set designed with six levels of performance and corresponding guaranteed hourly pay rates for each. Key Performance Indicators have been chosen to reflect an overall range of performance, not just sales alone. Team members are rewarded for all they do in the salon and spa to create forward momentum for the company. As an employee moves through the skill set they are awarded with the pay change that corresponds to their performance level. Gratuities are shared amongst all staff members to promote team culture.
CONTINUOUS EDUCATION AND MARKETING SUPPORT
To maintain our status as an industry leader our staff are continually trained on the latest in techniques, customer service training and treatments for our guests to enjoy. We have aligned ourselves with Aveda, and as an Aveda Concept Salon enjoy marketing support and preferential education.

The Cat's Meow Salon and Spa has celebrated many successful years in business, was recently nominated for a Business Achievement Award and was voted Belleville's Favorite Hair Salon 2 years in a row! We participate regularly in local wedding and fashion shows, as well as numerous community fundraising events, including Cougars for Cancer . We've been recognized by Job Connect and The Board of Education Co-op programs for our youth initiatives and training program.
WE GIVE BACK
We are always ready to lend a hand for charity and consequently The Cat's Meow Salon was asked to be an official Highlights for Hope Salon. We put pink highlights in people's hair to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. It is a great opportunity to be at many community events, promoting a worthwhile cause. It feels great to be a positive part of something that touches so many lives.
