Meet Our Team

Service Teams

At The Cat’s Meow Salon and Spa, we have a service team culture. Our service team culture is run much like a fine restaurant where many waiters and waitresses all serve you. All members of The Cat’s Meow Salon design/color team go though vigorous training. This training encompasses HairZones and AVEDA color technical standards. These standards empower our teams to work synergistically in providing  services to our guest in a timely, consistent and creative manner. We know that life is busy and time is valuable to you, our guest. Working in service teams also allows us more flexibility in accommodating your hair and skin needs and maintenance. We value each member of our service teams as an integral part of the service experience.

What is a service team?

Service teams are composed of a team leader and team support or possibly two support members. A service team can deliver services with more efficiency.

Why have service teams?

Service teams are able to be more flexible in accommodating our guests and are able to provide value-added experiences, and are able to ensure that no guest is left behind. Plus, teams are fun!

How do service teams work?

Service teams work together on color services and blow-drying. For instance, two team members may perform your color service at the same time with one working on the front and the other in the back. They work together to ensure great service in efficient time. The teams are working toward a common goal to serve you our guests with greater efficiency, flexibility and personal genuine care and attention.

How is this possible?

This is possible because we are a trained certified HairZones salon. HairZones supports us with a common operating architecture that allows being creative and empowers us with a common technical language that mobilizes our salon culture to function in teams.

A letter from one of our valued guests:

Hi Sharon,

When I got home from my appointment with you, my sister called.  I was singing your praises to her and I thought I should let you know how much you are appreciated.  So here goes... I came to your salon last evening on the verge of a migraine.  When you learned of this, you went upstairs and brought down some oil which you applied around my eyes and on my neck. Whether it was the oil, the meds or just the kindness, the migraine abated.  Your kindness and caring made a difference.  I also recall the time my mom died.  I desperately needed a "fix-up" both physically - my roots were terrible, and emotionally.  Although you were booked solid, you came in early one morning so my hair could be done.  Again a kindness that will never be forgotten.  I believe that it is the small daily kindnesses that make this world a gentler place and you are one of the kindness ambassadors.  Thank you.  You are a wonderful lady.  -J.Lesage

I love my job!  A big thank you to all the people (including my family, friends, salon team and salon guests) who bring me joy and help me to pass it along to others. I love you all. ~ Sharon
