5 Tips for Purr-fect Wedding Hair

1. If you have your hair colored or treated, have it done at least two weeks before your wedding date. The extra time will soften your style a bit, so it looks more natural. Choose a color that is timeless so that when you look back on your wedding pictures you won't regret a bold look.  A few highlights or a shine-enhancing color glossing will make your hair look extra gorgeous in your wedding day photos.

2. Don't get your hair done too early on your wedding day. Having your hair done at 9am for a 5pm ceremony may leave you with a tired up-style. We recommend 3 or 4 hours before your start time.

3. Get a trim and a deep conditioning treatment a couple weeks before your wedding date to neaten up your tresses and eliminate split ends.

4. Try consulting more than one stylist for your trial run so that you find the best person for you, ideally 1-2 months before your big day. There may be someone at the Cat's Meow who specializes in the look you want for your wedding. You won't be slighting your regular stylist if you try this person or ask for a recommendation; having your hair done for a big event is very different from getting a great cut or color. Bring plenty of pictures and we will fill out a thorough consultation card so that you are guaranteed the look you want.

5. Don't go too over the top -- it will just leave your guests wondering who that princess in the white dress is! Besides, an overly complicated do is just one more thing for you to worry about -- and we all know that's not something you need right now! Less really is more.
